The Lodge is connected to the casino via a covered walkway (nice in the winter). Large bathroom with separate shower and tub, and comfortable living area. The room furnishings are excellent, robes and slippers are laid out, you have your own personal concierge for your entire stay. It is a Conde Nast winner and deservedly so. *Hotels - The Lodge is the upscale hotel of the bunch. Word of advice if you want to play, play the tables however be advised that point accumulation on your member card from playing tables is SLOW. If you get a free play and win, the Turning Stone takes back the orignal free play amount and you get difference. A card is required to play (the machines do not print out vouchers) to cash out you have to go to a cashier's cage which is typically understaffed. Personnel at the VIP/credit desk still have a long way to go.

They have lightened up quite a bit and actually interact with customers (not true in the past). *Based on my observation, the most improvement I have seen has been with the cashiering staff and the table games personnel. *Management staff and security personnel tend to be very stone faced and stoic and are tend not to be very friendly except with each other. I have not eaten at Pino Bianco (Italian) or the Peach Blossom (Chinese) so I cannot offer an opinon on those restaurants. The Season's Harvest Buffet service is average. Excellent staff and service can be had at the Forest Grill and Wildflowers with decent staff at Rodizio (Brazilian). Worst restautant staff (in my opinion) is in the Emerald Restaurant followed by the Corner Market (more of a fooe court). The more upscale the restaurant, the friendlier the staff.

The restaurant staff's attitudes and pleasantries largely depended on the restaurant. Pleasant, friendly, these folks (it appears) actually paid attention during orientation and hospitality training.

The Hotel front desk staff tended to be the best of the Casino staff. I say this with some reservation, because it depends on what staff you are dealing with. * Staff - I guess if I have one major pet peeve about the Turning Stone, it has to be the staff. I can offer the following objective observations: *In general, the casino is kept very clean - bathrooms, restaurants, grounds, gaming area. In the past I went there on and off with friends for a variety of events - concerts, bachelor parties, etc.
